Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take custom orders or commissions?

Not usually. If you want something specific, you can send us an email and we will consider it.

What is your return policy?

Unfortunately we do not accept returns. If an item does arrive broken, please take a picture of the box and the broken item. Send both to us within a week of delivery at allenwilliamspottery@gmail.com and we can refund the price.

Are your pieces dishwasher and microwave safe, and lead-free?

Yes! They are all of those things! Feel free to put them in the dishwasher to get them clean and the microwave to reheat some leftovers! All clay and glazes are lead-free.

What about using your pieces in the oven?

We want you to be cautious with extreme heat swings. It is not recommended to pull a piece out of a hot oven and run cold water over it. In the same way, don’t take a piece out of the freezer and place it directly in a 500F oven. Don’t place it close to a heat source, such as a broiler. That can result in the piece cracking and breaking. We think of it as similar to Pyrex in that way.

How much does your work cost?

Prices range from $40-$400 or more.

When do you update online listings?

We update listings periodically as new work is made. Pieces are created in cycles due to the nature of throwing, decorating, and firing full kilnloads. We have no set schedule at this time. However, you can sign up for our newsletter here to find out exactly when new pieces are available!
